Aquatic therapy and exercise is not only beneficial to humans, it's a great way to get your dog back on track from an injury, or just letting your canine friend splash about for play! Your dog is your best friend and you want the best for him or her. Swimming is completely safe and fun for the whole family to experience! Many dogs have recovered successfully and not only have gone back to their normal routine, they have also gone on to be great athletes.

Beginning Sessions

Upon arriving at our facility for the first time, we will meet with you and your dog, assess his or her injury (if any has been sustained) and energy level. While getting to know you and your canine friend, we will show you a quick tour of our pool and how our system works. There are two ramps in our pool. Our pool measures 60' by 34' and is 12 feet deep. Before swimming, we place a harness on your dog, with two long ropes attached to the sides.
We slowly guide your dog down the ramp and into the water. Once in the water, we use ropes to guide him or her around our pool.
Swimming your dog is easy and fun and your canine friend will soon grow comfortable with time in the water.
We recommend swimming your dog to a minimal extent their first time in the pool to allow the dog's muscles to develop and grow comfortable with their fitness level or injury, as well as our facility.
Our facility has a hot and cold wash area to bathe your canine friend after swimming (recommended as we treat our pool) and is heated during the cold months.
For dogs already used to swimming, "free" swimming is allowed as long as your dog is safe and comfortable within the water. If your dog adjusts to our pool, you are free to come back anytime for as long as you wish during our hours of operation.
Once your canine friend has adjusted to his or her own program of swimming, you may access our pool freely without help, although if you require help, we will always be with you to assist.
Appointments and cost of swimming
The cost of swimming in our pool is only $10.00 per dog with pre-paid packages available for a discounted price.
We allow unlimited pool time for our canine friends, although we recommend that new swimmers only swim within their energy level as well as keeping in mind that new muscles are being worked and developing.
Please also note injuries should be slowly worked into the water and increase swimming length in time.
We ask that appointments are made at least 24 hours ahead of time. Failure to cancel appointments will result in the actual appointment's cost. Floating toys are also allowed in our pool. Our dogs just love to have fun!
Rules of Our Pool:
1. Children are allowed at our facility, although we ask they be supervised at all times. We ask that if horses are in the pool that children stay to the side and ask if they can pet them before approaching. This ensures EVERYONES safety.
2. We ask that our dog swimmers be courteous to our horse swimmers. Our horses and dogs share the pool and sometimes need to take turns .
3. If horses are in the pool at anytime you are not swimming your dog (resting), we ask that you stand to the side of our pool, or if possible rest your dog outside the pool until you plan to swim again.
4. We welcome ALL dogs to our pool, although we ask that your dog be kept leashed at all times.
Free swimmers (able to swim your dog on your own), we ask that you kindly turn off any water used completely, as well as shut the pool doors when entering or exiting, unless they are already open. This saves hot water and heat for the next swimmer in the pool.
